Kathryn’s place was great. Isolated by desert scenery and a pleasant home, great for a long weekend. Loved the patio, grill, and hot tub. Communication was very clear, with detailed instructions for navigation, use of the house, and check-in. Wonderful place and great hosts, would come again.

I would stay here again and again! What a beautiful stay with all the necessities. We did heat the pool, that was perfect for our kids 18months-16 years old. We also enjoyed the pickleball court and hot tub along with ping pong, foosball, and cornhole. There was plenty of rackets, balls etc. Again we loved our stay, the flat top grill near the pool was perfect for grilling! Thank you for hosting and making sure this house available. Unforgettable memories made for my kids. I appreciate the easiness of booking and you supplying trash bags, dishwasher tablets, shampoo, paper towels. Plenty of pool & shower towels. The list goes on! The host also replied quickly each and every time we had a question. 10/10! If you are wondering, the house does have security gate to the pool 🙏 & the masters is upstairs. The house is in the hillside and so the driveway is a little long and steep. If you are a person who uses Uber/door dash. I wouldnt recommend it here. Stores are 10 mins away.

This place was perfect. Had I known exactly what I was signing up for, I would not have planned activities that required leaving the home. This home has a little bit of everything, both outdoor and indoor activities. The early morning and late evenings are very quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. Beds are comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The host was very responsive and was so nice!! I would definitely return to this place if I had a chance!

I have stayed in so many airbnbs over the last 10 years. This spot is truly GREAT. Everything was just awesome. From check in, to cleanliness, to private area, to amenities. Just wow. You are about 10 min drive into town but I loved that part personally. Absolutely book this place if it’s available!

My friends and I LOVED our stay! The house was very clean and had plenty of space and cozy beds for everyone, the backyard was spacious and beautiful. The location was perfect- private enough to feel like an escape, but close enough to wineries and restaurants for when we wanted to go out. A weekend didn’t feel like long enough, there was so much to do at the house and even in the area. Would love to come back and stay longer! The host was very responsive, accommodating, and friendly. Highly recommend! :)

We had the best sisters trip at the Sunset Road House. Kathryn was an amazing host, so accommodating, especially when we needed to extend our stay last minute. Communication was great, the house was beautiful, and the views were even more incredible than the pictures show. The hot tub was perfect, and the location felt private and peaceful while still being close to everything we needed for our Joshua Tree trip. Kathryn’s recommendations for food and places to visit were spot on. We didn’t want to leave! Thanks again for having us!

We had a wonderful stay here during our wedding weekend. The home was huge, beautifully designed, incredibly clean, and felt brand new. Also, the VIEWS! It had everything we needed and more, with plenty of space for our family and bridal party. We’re so grateful to have found such a perfect place for such a special weekend. Highly recommend! 🤍

The property at Rainbow Vista was excellent. Clean and well appointed, spacious, meticulously cared for. There were a few unexpected maintenance issues during our stay but James and Kathryn were extremely responsive and addressed the issues. Our party of 12 was comfortable in the home and appreciated the large open concept family room and the wrap around deck on the first floor. We would definitely stay at Rainbow Vista again.

We had an awesome stay at Kathryn’s place! We loved being out in the desert; it was quiet and isolated. The place was clean, the kitchen had all the appliances we needed, and we enjoyed our evenings out by the fire pit!

First and foremost, the place was absolutely gorgeous. It's 3 stories with entire upper and lower living space. 2 full kitchens and plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The rooms include a large master bedroom with a beautiful bathroom that had a tub near a window for a beautiful, and still private view, a walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, and a spacious closet. There were 4 other bedrooms that were standard fair, and finally a large game-room with a huge tv, ping-pong table, foosball (table soccer), and air hockey table and 2 large bunk beds for the kids (the room was a hit and grandpa is still the reigning ping-pong champ). We were specifically looking for a place nearby where we could host a small wedding (turned out to be more of a barbbq with a short "I do" ceremony) for about an hour on a weekday and were turned down by a few hosts before finding this place, and let me assure you, it's the best large house anyway. Hosts were great, beautiful place, 10/10 would rent again.
